Between Michelle Obama slapping the back of the Queen of England and Barry Obama bowing and scraping to the King of Saudi Arabia - what will the hapless duo do next one wonders?  Oh yeah - give an Ipod to the Queen of England maybe?  Talk about not getting the significance of the Queen of England, their history and the fact that giving her an Ipod is sort of like giving your GRANDMOTHER an Ipod.. Come on!  Are the Obamas really this clumsy and stupid?

And to boot - here's one of the cute headlines referring to the breach of protocol by Michelle Obama that was on Yahoo News - fed by the AP - "Michelle Obama CHARMS queen away from protocol". Ok where do I start?  First they refer to the Queen of England in the headline with a lower case q. When you refer to the President - you use an upper P right? So why the lower q for Queen by the AP?  Just a wee bit biased maybe?

So Jennifer Quinn of the Associated Press is saying with this headline that Michelle Obama is just SO charming that the Queen didn't mind her slapping her big ole hamchop onto her back eh?  Well that's funny because all of England is in an UPROAR over this. Now mind you - I think it is just plain silly to not be able to touch the Queen.. but you are a GUEST in their Palace - you follow the protocol or you look like a friggin classless idiot.. which ultimately I guess says it all about Michelle and Barry Obama.  They move from one classless act to another in the world stage.. what great representatives of Americans we have here... Say all you want about George Bush - at least he knew for the most part how to act.

I remember a little incident with George Bush that the media went NUTS about - GW Bush just happened to put his hands on the shoulders of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. That was in 2006 at the G8 Summit.  Funny how a breach of protocol with Michelle touching the back of the Queen of England turns into a story about Michelle charming the Queen "away from protocol".  Did the Associated Press ask the Queen if she thought it was ok or did they just assume?
